  2. How to: Be Stylish and Save Money
I believe that style does not have to cost as much as BEBE and Marc Jacobs wants you to believe. NO designer labels should make you pay half of your month’s rent to look amazing. -All designers should be able to work with anything that is given to them. Anywho before anyone goes EWWWW Good Will..PLEASE refrain yourself from posting a comment. 1) I buy from them because I am a creative person who needs to expand my horizons with challenges like morphing something hideous into something stylish. 2) I buy form them because GoodWill FUNDS so many great things that many unfortunate people are not able to get a hold of. 3) I ALSO donate to them!

  10. South Asian Newsline update
SAN-EPISODE # 2784 DATED 15TH SEPTEMBER 2008 WELCOME TO SOUTH ASIA NEWS LINE. I AM SAKAL BHATT WITH THE DAY’S NEWS….. THE TOP STORIES AT THIS HOUR… HEADLINES PAKISTAN TROOPS FIRE AT U.S. HELICOPTERS IN SOUTH WAZIRISTAN POLICE CLAIM SEVERAL VITAL CLUES ABOUT DELHI BLASTS AND…. A VERY VOLATILE DAY FOR INDIAN STOCK MARKETS PTC 1: PAKISTAN TROOPS FIRED WARNING SHOTS AT US-LED HELICOPTERS, REPELLING THEM AS THEY ENTERED ITS RESTIVE BORDER REGION. ISLAMABAD HAD EARLIER VOWED TO DEFEND THE COUNTRY’S SOVEREIGNTY AGAINST ANY INCURSIONS BY U.S. FORCES. VO1: The incident took place at Angoor Adda village, 20 miles from Wana, the main town of South Waziristan. Pakistani troops reportedly blocked an attempt by US forces to mount a fresh strike against militants in the region. Army Chief General Ashfaq Kayani had earlier warned that Islamabad would retaliate should US cross-border attacks continue, adding that his country will not allow foreign troops on its soil. The political conflict has intensified in the past week after reports that US President George Bush authorized cross-border attacks from Afghanistan without Pakistani agreement. US missile strikes have killed several in the past week straining its relationship with its key ally. Islamabad has also accused Afghan-based troops of carrying out direct attacks in South Waziristan. The incursion comes amid rising anger among Pakistanis about the continuing strikes on militant hideouts. Gunmen had seized a municipal building and exchanged fire with police in the northwestern city of Peshawar on Saturday. The rising civilian casualties has not only made the tribesmen turn against the Gilani government but also has stoked anti American feelings. PTC 2: NEPAL WANTS TO DEVELOP RELATIONS WITH NEIGHBORS AND “AGE-OLD" TIES WITH INDIA REMAIN CRUCIAL, PRIME MINISTER PUSHP KAMAL DAHAL ALIAS PRACHANDA SAID IN NEW DELHI. WITH MAOISTS LEADING THE COALITION GOVERNMENT, THE INDIAN INDUSTRY, WHICH HAS MADE LARGE INVESTMENTS IN THE HIMALAYAN NATION, REMAINS CONCERNED OVER THEIR SECURITY. VO1: Addressing an India-Nepal business meeting, Prachanda said Nepal was ready to invite investments from India, particularly in energy sector. UPSOUND/ PUSHP KAMAL DAHAL Prime Minister, Nepal TRANSCRIPTION: There are ample opportunities for both Nepal and India to expand our co-operation, trade and service particularly in the fields of health and information and technology. We propose to set more ambitious target utilizing our human and natural resources. VO2: The Nepalese premier also sought to allay security concerns of the Indian industry. Prachanda said his government is committed to provide investors the necessary security. UPSOUND/ PUSHP KAMAL DAHAL Prime Minister, Nepal TRANSCRIPTION: The government of Nepal remains committed to adopt every possible measure to provide investor the necessary security including repatriation of capital and profit earned by them in the country. VO3: The former rebels had shut down Indian Ayurvedic giant Dabur's subsidiary in Nepal, earlier this month demanding higher bonus. During their 10-year war in the past, the Maoists had shut down several Indian joint ventures and burnt property. The Nepalese Prime Minister who is on a five-day visit to India also called on Indian President, Pratibha Devisingh Patil. The Indian foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee, also called on Prachanda and extended New Delhi’s support to the newly elected government in Nepal. PTC 3: POLICE IN NEW DELHI DETAINED SEVERAL PEOPLE IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERIES OF BLASTS THAT RIPPED THROUGH THE CAPITAL CITY ON SATURDAY. THE EXPLOSIONS AT THREE POPULAR COMMERCIAL HUBS AND A BUSINESS DISTRICT KILLED 30 PEOPLE AND LEFT MORE THAN 100 INJURED OVER THE WEEKEND. VO1: Police launched raids across the capital detaining more than a dozen. Officials said they were pursuing several leads, including that from an 11-year-old boy who said he had seen two men drop off a large plastic bag at one of the blast sites. UPSOUND/ RAHUL Witness TRANSLATION: There were two persons wearing black clothes. Within two minutes they threw a black coloured packet, which exploded after 15 minutes. Five blasts ripped through New Delhi’s near crowded markets, shopping complexes, outside a metro station and a park within 45 minutes, starting at about 6 p.m. local time. The first explosion took place at the busy Ghaffar Market in Karol Bagh at 6.10 pm. Soon after that, two explosions rocked the geographical centre of the city- Connaught Place. One at Central Park 6.30 pm and the other at Barakambha Road at 6.31 pm. Almost simultaneously, a blast hit an upscale market in Greater Kailash in South Delhi. Seven minutes later another bomb went off. The toll could have been higher as four more bombs were defused in other parts of the city, matching the total number claimed in an e-mail message sent to media organizations minutes before the terror strike. Indian Mujahideen, which claimed responsibility for two other blasts earlier this year that killed 110 people, said it carried out the September 13th explosions. They claim their hatred for India stems from its support for the United States’ policies, and its supposed persecution of Muslims for decades. Delhi has been figuring prominently on the radar of terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad and various others. The high-profile attacks that the city has seen include the Parliament attack in 2001 and the Diwali blasts in 2005 that killed 61. The capital has for several months been on high alert following attacks in other states. Saturday’s attacks take the toll of people killed in India in terrorist attacks in the past year to more than 200. Terrorists have placed bombs on bicycles, in cinemas, crowded markets, timing them to go off during rush hour. Indian Mujahedeen also claimed responsibility in May for near-simultaneous bomb attacks that killed 63 people in the northwest city of Jaipur. The group had also claimed responsibility for 17 blasts that struck the western Indian city of Ahmedabad on July 26th, killing 49 and wounding more than 100 others. The southern tech hub of Bangalore was rocked, with eight low-intensity blasts which killed one woman and left seven injured. The city-by-city strikes have challenged India’s policing and intelligence system and have given the impression that the militants can strike any where at will. PTC 4: ENTHUSIASM OVER INDIA CLINCHING THE ATOMIC ENERGY WAIVER WAS SHORT LIVED AS BEARS CONTINUE TO CALL THE SHOTS ON STOCK MARKETS. THE BENCHMARK ENDED AT NEARLY EIGHT-WEEK LOW, NETTING A FALL OF 3.35 PERCENT. VO1: The Sensex plunged by 800 points and fell below the 13,151 level in early trade today on nervous selling by funds following global cues and concerns on India’s internal security. The markets witnessed a huge sell off on news of Lehman Brothers' bankruptcy. It also took a toll on shares of Indian companies in which the US investment bank had a stake. Realty stocks took the sharpest knock, as Lehman Brothers held maximum exposure in realty companies. The markets however recovered partially on the back of selective buying in auto, banking and FMCG stocks. The Bombay stock exchange 30 share Sensex closed at 13,531.27 levels down by 469.54 points whereas the wider Nifty of the national Stock Exchange fell by 155.55 points to end the day's trading at 4072.90 levels. Investors feel that the things might improve next week as the crude prices dropped to $96.84 per barrel, the lowest since February 19. PTC 5: THOUSANDS GATHERED TO CELEBRATE THE INDIRAJATRA FESTIVAL IN NEPAL. THE CHARIOT PROCESSION OF THE LIVING GODDESS KUMARI, GANESH AND BHAIRAV IS ONE OF THE MOST COLOURFUL FESTIVALS OF THE HIMALAYAN NATION. VO1: Indra Jatra was celebrated with great reverence across Nepal on Sunday. The procession is the part of the eight day long festival dedicated to Lord Indra or “the God of Rain” and is accompanied with singing, dancing and merry making. On the third day of festival, the living goddess Kumari is taken out in a chariot. Kumari, meaning "virgin", is considered to be the incarnation of Hindu Goddess Taleju. She is chosen from the Buddhist community usually at the age of five, and remains a Goddess only until she attains puberty. The festival started by Lichhavi Kings had the patronage of the Royal family of Nepal. But since Nepal abolished monarchy in August, the newly elected President Ram Baran Yadav and host of other dignitaries witnessed the procession. VO3: The Kumaris preside over several social and religious ceremonies in Nepal. About a dozen Kumaris are scattered across the Himalayan nation and the centuries old tradition received a blow after a Supreme Court ruling said that the Kumaris should be sent to school and should not be secluded to medieval palaces. Child rights activists have hailed the decision, but traditionalists say the Kumaris are symbols of unity between the Buddhist and the majority Hindus in Nepal. PTC 6: NOW A QUICK LOOK AT THE WEATHER ACROSS SOUTH ASIA…. CLOSING: WELL THAT’S THE WAY IT WAS IN SOUTH ASIA THIS EVENING… THE TOP STORIES ONCE AGAIN… PAKISTAN TROOPS FIRE AT U.S. HELICOPTERS IN SOUTH WAZIRISTAN POLICE CLAIM SEVERAL VITAL CLUES ABOUT DELHI BLASTS AND…. A VERY VOLATILE DAY FOR INDIAN STOCK MARKETS THAT’S ALL IN TONIGHT’S EDITION.
