- PSPscene - Warriors Of The Lost Empire - Sony PSP
 | This Video shows a PSP2000 running Warriors Of The Lost Empire Video output is via a Flatscreen monitor. A fairly average RPG. I really tried to like this one but it fails to be a good game. The graphics are pretty average. your character isn't to bad and appears fairly well animated, unfortunatly the rest of the game suffers graphically. Monsters and human enemies are rather average looking but the worst things are the rather boring dungeon scenery. The enviroments all seem a little to similiar, although It may change the deeper you get into the game. The camera angle is another blemish, having to cam around with the psp direction buttons to stay locked behind your characters view gets rather tiresome. The trading of items and menu's are also rather bad, they will have you scratching around, wondering what to do. The sound effects of clanking metal on mosters is pretty good and the music is fair enough but other sound effects are rather bland and sparce. Character voices and shouts are virtually nil, this really is rather bad and reminds me of one of those poor DS RPG's I can't be arsed reading endless scrolling speech boxes displayed on the psp screen, Can the PSP not handle proper speech and character voices? Gameplay is rather basic and mainly consists of hacking your enemies to ribbons, until dead or you die trying. You can return to the town square at any time, to save your game, access your item box, or to trade. Spellcasting is possible, but I found it amazingly annoying to setup. The items to collect and trade also seemed a complete nightmare! Whats wrong with collecting gold coins and trading them? there are way to many unintresting items to collect or buy. Overall, the game isn't very impressive as a good RPG, it has way to many niggling aspects that drag it down and make it rather average. 6.5\10 Rated.
